As a first step in his honor, we present the return of our 2022 Damn Good Coffee Meditation immersive experience as a Fundraiser for Los Angeles Fire Relief. Nicole Dutram, former head roaster of Joe Van Gogh, Allegro Coffee and Tandem, guides us through her coffee selection inspired by Dale Cooper’s wit, professionalism, integrity, and childlike wonder. Meditation teacher and former Zen monk Sojun Godfrey explores the stillness and reflection of the brewing process, followed by a guided meditation centered on experiencing this great beverage with every sense. A forest of cinematic zen kōans throughout adds an extra layer of mystery for the subconscious to unravel as we sip, while the finger-snapping soundtrack of riot-grrrl Twin Peaks tribute band Julee Cruise Director lingers in the air.
